One of the first steps in developing empathy is identifying feelings in others. This interactive and engaging guidance lesson helps students practice figuring out what feelings other kids have by looking at them and by thinking about different situations. Both activities are movement-based and cooperative, meaning even the wiggliest kids stay engaged and everyone is practicing other key social skills while they work. This lesson is also great for broadening feelings vocabulary. All scenarios are about elementary aged students in the school setting.
