Executive Functioning Activities Goal-Setting, Organization, and Planning

Looking for an executive functioning intervention for your 3rd-5th graders? This activity pack is focused on three connected executive functioning skills:

• Goal Setting – Students play a memory match game before identifying their own goals and action steps.
• Organization – Students practice organizing items into different categories then discuss examples and non-examples of being organized.
• Planning – Students put planning into action with a scaffolded group project, while also problem solving through challenges.

The activities are hands-on with super relevant scenarios about both school and home, and include processing and reflection questions to help cement the learning and generalize it to the world outside of your classroom or office. Note: These activities, and many more, can also be found inside the Executive Functioning Group Curriculum.
