Looking to boost faculty morale? Needing a fun game for a faculty meeting? Want to build community among faculty? This zombie themed escape room is where it’s at! In groups, faculty will complete four challenges to get the necessary ingredients for the antidote before time runs out and the zombie teacher epidemic becomes permanent. The best part? This escape room lesson is more than just fun, it actually involves thinking about important components to fighting teacher burnout!
  • Teacher Thoughts: Sort common negative and positive teacher thoughts to spell out the first antidote ingredient
  • Laugh Tasks: Two tasks that get groups giggling – when completed, the mad scientist hands over the second ingredient
  • What does it Mean?: Groups depict two important elements of school community to receive the third ingredient
  • Piece it Together: Put together the puzzle then use the grid and the code to figure out the final ingredient
  • Detailed directions for prep and game, including pictures
  • Materials for four challenges related
  • Blacklines included for everything, color included for single copy materials
  • “We Escaped!” poster
  • “Antidote” sign
Use this escape room with your whole faculty or a smaller group of educators. It was designed to be completed in groups of 4-6 participants. Six or more groups? Expect about 45 minutes for everyone to “escape”. Less than six groups? It will probably go quicker.
Don’t have that much time? This could also easily be split into four 10-15 minute sessions as a quick ongoing game to do at faculty meetings!
