Description
Want to help your kindergarteners and first graders with the skills needed for developing empathy? This resource is a developmentally appropriate set of feelings activities to help them identify other people’s feelings and understand they may differ from their own. It’s research-based social-emotional learning created specifically with primary students in mind!
Use these activities in one longer lesson on identifying and empathizing with others’ feelings, one or two shorter lessons, or spread out in shorter bursts for a weeklong skills focus using the included pacing guide. Designed for teachers delivering SEL in their classrooms or school counselors teaching guidance lessons.
It is ASCA-aligned and CASEL-aligned! While created to use for whole group lessons, it is also wonderful for tier 2/small group counseling or social skills intervention.
