This presentation is designed to teach faculty and staff about the main mindsets and strategies of restorative practices, including relationship building, repairing harm, circles, and informal conferencing. It was created with elementary schools in mind. There are opportunities for audience interaction/participation but it is all optional to not force discomfort on faculty that aren’t comfortable role playing.
 
This resource includes:
  • 32 slide PowerPoint. Each slide is completely scripted with additional ideas and examples, everything is included in the notes sections.
  • Handout for participants with main points and spots to jot notes

  • Informal conferencing script mini-posters
 
How to Use This Resource
This resource is meant for a 45-60 minute presentation with faculty/staff. It can also be broken into 2-3 shorter sessions.
 
All text in the PPT is editable for PC users. The MAC version is not-editable. If you use a MAC and open the PC version, it will be editable but the fonts will default to ones that are your computer.
