Description
This emotional regulation counseling curriculum with cognitive behavioral activities was created for middle to upper elementary students. CBT is an evidence-based counseling intervention but it can be a challenge to implement with children. This resource is a child-friendly and developmentally appropriate way to do cognitive behavioral work with kids!
The CBT-based activities included were designed to help children who struggle with anger, sadness, anxiety, or any combination. By addressing multiple emotions, you can target the feelings both above and below the surface.
Sessions are hands-on and incorporate play. Each one helps students learn to emotionally regulate through relaxation, problem-solving and coping, and cognitive restructuring.
Is this for group counseling or individual counseling? It’s for both! This counseling intervention curriculum was designed to be used for MTSS tier 2 or tier 3 support.
